A Photographer Spent 7 Years Taking Portraits of Gingers Around the World

Kieran Dodds, a Scottish photographer who is 39 years old, has been traveling around the world and meeting people from a variety of cultures who all share one characteristic: ginger hair. However, the project is not even close to being finished. It is about connecting individuals beyond political and cultural divides, using a rare goldthread, as Kieran stated earlier.

We all have issues with how we perceive ourselves to look, whether it be that we are self-conscious about our height or that we despise the form of our nose. However, the fact that we are all unique in appearance is what makes us stunning. Every single person possesses a singular set of distinguishing qualities. However, there is one particular aspect of a person’s physical makeup that is quite uncommon.

Natural red hair occurs in only 1% to 2% of the world’s population, making it a truly unique characteristic that will become a coveted selling point that sticks out in a crowd — or, in some cases, invites criticism for being odd. If unusual hair colors were viewed as expressions of individuality rather than curiosities, the world would be a more accepting place. This is due to the fact that all people, regardless of nationality or location, share the same DNA.

“Take a good look at it and be amazed. This is exactly what I mean. Establish ties in every region of the world. Even if they do not belong to the same group, individuals need to be able to view the many photographs and take pleasure in the variety of our population. He adds that despite the fact that we are all formed of the same material, our individual tunings are distinct.
